Ralphi Burgess is a visual artist based in Tokyo working in digital and traditional oils. Originally from Dallas, TX, her work explores Black womanhood, the esoteric and being through confronting, surrealist paintings that invite or challenge depending on the viewer. her work blends fantasy with function.

She is most known for designing multiple hospitality brands  as well as painting "You’re in The Middle of the World", the cover of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book "The Tradition" by Jericho Brown. She is currently working on my first long-form series about the eldritch.
